SCHMIDT GROUPE and SOS Children’s Villages: a long-term partnership at the service of children

Since 2009, SCHMIDT GROUPE and SOS Children’s Villages have been building a long-term partnership around a shared ambition: to make a lasting improvement to the daily lives and future prospects of children in SOS villages.

This commitment, supported by the Group’s brands and the association’s teams, is based on concrete actions carried out over the long term. On Friday 27 March, SCHMIDT GROUPE had the pleasure of welcoming Isabelle Moret, Managing Director of SOS Children’s Villages, and Emilie Fontaine, Head of Strategic Partnerships, to review the actions carried out over the past year and to discuss future projects.

Creating safe living spaces adapted to everyday life

In 2025, the CUISINELLA network contributed to the development of the new SOS village in Sarzeau by equipping nine kitchens: seven family homes, one communal home and one family home.

Beyond their primary function, these spaces are designed to be real living spaces. They encourage moments of sharing, the learning of independence and the creation of a reassuring environment for the children and families welcomed.

Supporting equal opportunities through the Pygmalion programme

The partnership is also part of an educational support approach through the Pygmalion programme, supported by the SCHMIDT network. This scheme provides individualised educational support for children and young people in the SOS villages.

In 2025, the programme supported 1,029 children and young people. Of these, 98% of children aged between 3 and 19 attended school, 77% passed their exams and 75% of young adults continued their studies.

By combining the commitment of its brands with the expertise of SOS Children’s Villages, SCHMIDT GROUPE is taking part in concrete actions that help to improve the daily lives of children while offering them lasting prospects for the future.
