Inspiring Working Spaces is the name of the programme that the Group launched in 2020 with the aim of shaping and redefining our work practices in the future, and enabling our teams to fulfil their potential in an environment that promotes agility, consideration, trust, cooperation and responsibility.
Just as we create inspiring living spaces for our customers, we also design inspiring working spaces to guarantee and improve the safety, health and well-being of all our teams.
Places for working and collaborating
Work Cafés
These warm and casual work and meeting spaces are designed to build strong cooperative ties between the different teams. These hybrid spaces also showcase Schmidt Groupe’s expertise with products manufactured exclusively by its brands.
“La Ferme” in Lièpvre
An extensive refurbishment in 2023 transformed this historic building at the Lièpvre site into a real living space. The warm, inviting atmosphere encourages employees to interact and socialise. They can enjoy their lunch inside the cosy dining area or even outside whenever the weather plays ball. La Ferme (meaning “The Farm”) also includes areas where employees can concentrate on their work and collaborate with others, as well as sports facilities.
With its uninterrupted views of the Vosges Mountains, La Ferme will never be anything other than inspiring.
La Ruche fully reflects our vision of a company that is more collaborative and sustainable, with a deeply entrenched attachment to its host community.
“La Ruche”: our new eco-designed building
Since December 2025, La Ruche (meaning “The Hive”) has been a lot more than just a workplace for employees at the Sélestat site. It is a vibrant, conducive ecosystem for fostering greater cooperation and innovation, conveniently located close to the Sélestat production sites.
La Ruche embodies both our commitment to eco-responsible principles and our organisational culture, as well as reflecting our vision of work practices in tomorrow’s world.
Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines: a place for learning and inspiration
Schmidt Groupe Academy is our in-house training centre. Open to all employees across the showroom network, the centre provides our talent community with training on the Group’s brands, products and sales techniques.
It is a stimulating place where learning and sharing come together for improving knowledge and enhancing customer satisfaction. With its spacious training rooms and a perfect replica of a Schmidt and Cuisinellà showroom, the centre allows the 2,500 people who pass through its doors every year to hone their skills and reveal their potential through a blend of hands-on training and ultra-realistic role-playing scenarios.
Manufacturing in smart factories
Our production sites in Alsace and Germany illustrate our commitment to industrial excellence, with employee health and safety always a number one priority. With continual investments for upgrading our production assets and facilities, ergonomically designed workstations, and continual improvements to our production processes, our factories strike the perfect balance between greater performance and superior quality of working life.
Cutting-edge equipment, collaborative robots, cosy break areas, continual improvement programmes developed alongside our teams… our production sites are designed to provide every employee with the ideal conditions for doing their job with pride and peace of mind.
Sport at work
Sport is an incredible medium for empowering people, bringing them together, and building engagement. Its values are directly aligned with Schmidt Groupe’s own core values. The company offers its employees a number of opportunities for taking part in physical activity through:

Alsace is an attractive region to live in. It is renowned for its quality of life, dynamic economy and rich cultural heritage. Our long-standing head office in Lièpvre stands in the shadows of the Vosges Mountains, our production site in Bergheim is located along the famous Wine Route, and our site in Sélestat lies in the plain of Alsace, nestled at the foot of the Vosges Mountains between Colmar and Strasbourg.
