Value chain
Our ecosystem
From sourcing our raw materials through to fitting our solutions in the customer’s property, an entire interdependent ecosystem of suppliers, employees, showrooms and fitters is working to make each project a resounding success.
This is what we call the extended enterprise, a business model where the company’s boundaries extend far beyond its local area. Our employees, our independent showroom partners/dealers, and our suppliers are all stakeholders in a shared venture that gives us the power to fulfil our mission of creating inspiring living spaces.
Employees
1,900 employees across four company-wide departments coordinate the whole process: Support Services, Strategy & Innovation, Model Design, and Customer Relations.
Customers
150,000 orders a year from private individuals and professionals.
Showrooms
920 independent and exclusive showrooms, bolstered through online sales, across four brands: Schmidt, Cuisinellà, ID PRO and Cubro.
Suppliers
1,700 suppliers (including 25% in the company’s home area of Alsace). Main purchases: wood panels, hardware and appliances.
Resources
Wood is our main raw material. 84% of the wood used is PEFC-certified.
Production
Four dedicated production sites for fitted kitchens and bespoke interior solutions. The production workflow includes the following stages: manufacturing, assembly and packaging, supported by two levels of quality control.
Shipping & fitting
Orders are shipped to one of our seven logistics platforms, before they are delivered and fitted directly in the customer’s property.
Wealth redistribution
5% of our income is redistributed to our employees every year. Schmidt Groupe also contributes through sustainable partnerships & sponsorships.
