Sélestat U1

The U1 plant specializes in the manufacture of panels, cabinet fronts, and countertops for kitchens and the home. It supplies all of the Group’s sites, making it the primary supplier to the assembly plants.

With more than 100 robots, U1 is the most automated facility in the Schmidt Groupe. It is the only plant that produces all of the Group’s countertops and cabinet fronts, whether made of melamine, laminate, Hydro lacquer, Print, or lacquered wood.

Commissioned in 1989, this 55,000 m² factory is organized around four production workshops and employs between 220 and 300 production staff, depending on the workload.
