Earning the right to grow

Our vision

We deserve the right to grow. That is what drives our company, as well as the prospect of creating a positive impact for the living environment.

We are in the fortunate position of having the chance to grow. We are proud to help the extended enterprise and our stakeholders grow: growth is a gift, an opportunity that should be nurtured and cherished. Grow with others and grow for others, and always be mindful of their existence. Growth gives us the capacity to pass on, enhance, improve, create less pollution, and build more effectively. What if we adopted alternative ways to manufacture our products? What if we tried to design a better world?

Promote virtuous and healthy growth by creating a positive impact: BE HAPPY.

Earning the right to grow: looking ahead to 2050

By 2050, we want to be a company that has proven it can do things the right way, such as selling more effectively, producing more sustainably, and growing and helping others grow without causing harm.

A company that has rightfully earned its place in the world.

Generating a more positive impact

Living together in an ever-changing environment.

Play an active role in building a thriving community where we are all responsible for its development and protection. Regenerate instead of impoverishing.

This is an existential question for our Group. Are we doing enough to minimise our negative impacts and maximise our positive impacts?

For every decision, every change and every project, we ask ourselves the following questions:
Have we really thought this through properly? Will we be acting more ethically if we take this decision? Will this change improve the lives of the people around us? Are our current actions and practices more virtuous than what we were doing yesterday?

This success is not (only) measured by our annual revenue.

Our long-term performance is reflected in the answers to these questions:

Are our employees happy to come to work? Are they healthy when they go home? Do our products help our customers feel at home? Are our dealers proud to represent our brands? Do our suppliers earn a decent living from doing business with us? Does our local community benefit from our ongoing presence?

If the answer to all these questions is “yes” (and we measure this), then we have earned the right to grow.

Discover our commitments

Making our business intrinsically virtuous

To continue creating a more positive impact, we need to ensure that people feel a special connection and bond with our teams, and that they prioritise expertise, high standards and excellence over opaque business models.

Customers should be choosing us for the enduring quality of our products and our commitments in good conscience.

We have a duty to design and create units that will stand the test of time, kitchens that are easier to renovate, units that can be revamped and given a second lease of life, and products that can easily be recycled in keeping with the principles of a more virtuous economy where nothing is thrown away – basically, products are designed to last and evolve.

This is the path that we have defined for our Group with the aim of making our business intrinsically virtuous and positive.

Helping the entire industry move forward

We know that no single player can change the industry on its own.

If our sector fails to step up and push the boundaries, and if our competitors fail to make progress as well, then our efforts will be in vain. That is why we are lobbying our industry to take action, whether suppliers, retailers, designers, sales staff or legislators, and we are actively involved in industry-wide discussions, especially with the SNEF (National Union of Household Equipment). This commitment from our entire ecosystem is essential if we are to make an impact. We want to show that there is a way, that we are doing whatever is necessary, and that everyone can make a contribution. We simply need to set the wheels in motion.

Schmidt Groupe hosted the first meeting of the SNEC (National Kitchen Equipment Union) within the CNEF (National Confederation of Household Equipment), marking a new milestone for all the sector’s stakeholders.

True to our values of respecting and cooperating with others, our Group fully adheres to this industry-wide commitment, which has a key role to play in giving the entire sector a greater sense of structure and professionalism, and ensuring its long-term growth.
