SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES
Since 2009, Schmidt Groupe and its network of Schmidt and Cuisinella showrooms have been lending their support in protecting the children within the SOS Children’s villages in France. The aim of this partnership is to provide them with the best possible living conditions where they can thrive and grow, while keeping brothers and sisters together. The funds raised in recent years have helped finance the Pygmalion educational programme for academic success as well as refurbishing the living spaces in the host homes.
EMMAÜS
Since 2009, Schmidt Groupe has been donating part of its customer returns to Emmaüs. These are mainly appliance parts, which pass through the association’s workshops before being resold at its sites across eastern France. In 2022, Schmidt Groupe not only donated appliances, but also decided to offer clearance deals on its flat-pack kitchens, worktops, sinks, taps and accessories. It is also developing a partnership with the Emmaüs Connect branch to donate IT equipment.
WWF
Schmidt Groupe and WWF France joined forces in 2021 as part of a three-year partnership to reinforce the Group’s environmental ambitions on the following themes: define Schmidt Groupe’s net-zero pathway in alignment with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), strengthen the sustainability of the Group’s wood supplies, preserve biodiversity and French forests by funding Nature Impact projects, and finally raise awareness among employees and key stakeholders.
